About the artist.
Khayla R. Clark, better known as Khay Renee, is a Nashville-born photographer and community advocate who finds inspiration in the people and places that shaped her. As the founder of KR Shot It, she uses her lens to celebrate the beauty, resilience, and stories of her city.
A Fisk University graduate, Khayla balances her creative work with service as a community school coordinator for Metro Nashville Public Schools, connecting students to mentors and opportunities. She’s also deeply involved in local nonprofits that support youth and community growth.
Her motto, “Keep Shooting,” is both creative and personal—a reminder to keep showing up, keep creating, and keep giving back.
