About the photographer.
Khayla R. Clark is a multifaceted individual dedicated to both her craft and her community. As a Nashville native, she has a deep connection to the city, which is reflected in her work and her values. Through her photography, as founder of KR Shot It, Khayla captures the beauty of Nashville, sharing her perspective with the world. Her passion for both her art and her city is rooted in her upbringing within Metro Nashville Public Schools, an experience that has shaped her commitment to giving back.
A graduate of the prestigious Fisk University, Khayla earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2018, and during her time as a student, she developed her photography business. But her contributions go beyond the lens; as a Community Achieves Site Coordinator with Metro Nashville Public Schools, Khayla works as an educator to create meaningful connections between students and their communities, understanding the importance of role models and mentorship. She is also deeply involved in local non-profits and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Khayla's mantra, "Keep Shooting," is a testament to her belief in the power of perseverance and individual action to create collective impact. Whether through her photography, her work with the youth, or her community service, Khayla strives to make a difference in every way she can.
